Costa Rica is the country with the greatest biological diversity.
But there is also a problem. With an export volume of 2.9 million tons (*Statista 2022) , pineapple cultivation generates a lot of waste. This is usually burned.
In this episode, Michelle Spitzer, co-founder of the start-up eco:fibr, explains how she came up with the idea of pineapple and how they want to revolutionize the packaging industry with pineapple leftovers.
At the beginning of the episode we talk about the creation and financing of the start-up, in the middle there is the usual deep dive into fashion history and at the end Michelle tells us what she would like to see more of in the start-up scene and what a special "chips" chain is all about.
