RECAP: FINALLY FAIR Event on May 30th in the Concept Store

We are changing the world sustainably

On May 30th, MACH O SE hosted a sustainability talk combined with a fair fashion pop-up at the concept store Möbel Staude .

The core topics of the talk were best practice examples from the areas of fashion and interior design. What is currently happening in Hanover with regard to sustainable urban and spatial development? Kristina Kasubke, interior designer and regional chairwoman (NDS/HB) of the Association of German Interior Designers, gave insights into the topic of "extension" and sustainable office design.
Concept store manager Kerstin Lohrfink explained what makes timeless design classics and where the personal signature is hidden in sustainable furniture design.

What defines sustainable fashion and what are the challenges in the field of sustainable fashion design?
Fashion designer Nathalie Bähr talked about her passion and attention to detail, which is often needed to find sustainable ways and solutions.
The Ecodesign Directive recently adopted by the EU shows how important it is to reuse existing materials and, ideally, to design them to be completely biodegradable ( cradle to cradle design).

Afterwards, the concept store backdrop was transformed into a fair fashion pop-up, and sustainable outfits as well as jewelry from Ohmygoddess and upcycled unique bags from Godje Mahn Manufaktur rounded off the shopping experience. Now it's time for a summer break to plan the next event ideas.
